We are located in Abruzzo, (center of Italy), in the mountains, where you can still hear the sounds of the farms, where you can spot the deer at dusk and where it is not difficult to meet wild boars and foxes that are the true masters of these places of natural reserve. We are very close to Rome, only one hour away.

We are in a quiet location away from the chaos, with fresh and pure air. We are downstream of Monte Melino (2487 meter above the sea), very close to Ovindoli, Campo Felice, National Park, Natural reserve. Also, we are very close to the most beatiful old town in the center of Italy, like Rosciolo, Scurcola and Tagliacozzo. Our area is characterized by cultural, historical, archaeological traditions and locations.

Inside the Agriturismo (our farmhouse or farmstay) Il Timo there is a delicious, typical family-run Abruzzo’s italian restaurant.
An intimate and refined atmosphere, combined with familiar service. Oustside, on the terrace, a more traditional and informal space can offer the possibility to spend a pleasant moment of eno-gastronomic and musical relaxation also to groups of friends or to make a business meeting pleasant.
The kitchen offers à la carte menus and meat tastings with great attention to traditions, fresh products and seasons.

Inside the farmhouse are reserved accommodation for guests (in lodging, suite, apartments, flat, chalet) equipped with every comfort: on the ground floor, has a spacious veranda with a beautiful view of the countryside and the surrounding mountains. All lodgings are made of wood and are 100% earthquake-SAFE. You can take your pet’s with you, just let us know you’re coming. Our farmhouse is very close to Ovindoli, campo felice, Tagliacozzo, l’Aquila. You can consider staying by us also using our b&b service.

Surrounded by an area rich in flora and fauna, the farm is located at 730 meters above sea level and has joined the project “Didactic Farms of Abruzzo”; here the young guests will find educational paths between games, animals, excursions and experiences in contact with nature, with the aim of promoting the typical agrarian characteristics of the territory. In winter, the farm is an ideal base to reach the ski slopes and in summer for walks, on foot or by bike, on Mount Velino and in the nature reserve. We are very close to the National Park, Gran Sasso, Majella, Monte Velino. The town of Ovindoli, Campo Felice, Piani di Pezza, Marsia, Monte Velino, Piano delle cinque Miglia areaway from us only few minutes by car.

Our place is located in a green natural reserve where you can admire deer, wild boar and foxes in their natural habitat, the farm is a quiet oasis where you can enjoy the relaxation and discover the activities related to the educational farm. Alongside the cultivation of potatoes, wheat, spelled, maize and vegetables, the farm raises sheep, hens, rabbits, and bees (an excellent honey is produced locally). All the products are handmade and can be enjoyed in the small refreshment area. Inside, it is possible to visit the nursery with different types of plants, biological aromatic herbs and wild berries.

Our family, through our parents, has always been dedicated to cultivation and breeding. After years of experience, these traditions are transmitting today to the youngest.

As young people, accustomed to modernity, to a “speed” of a different era, to new technologies, with a wealth of education and work experience in large companies, now we are also recovering those traditions from which – in some way – we had moved away .

Abruzzo has always been a “green” region, rich in parks but it is also a land rich of work and passion, history and ideals.
We preserve our “wealth” as gastronomic traditions that we keep alive in our dishes and our hearts.  We want to enhance them and improve them through a cultural background learned in more modern contexts, rediscovering our traditions.

Near our farm there are several farms that will be happy having you there to taste the fresh milk, or the eggs just taken from the hens and then … the owners will surprise you with their tributes: freshly baked desserts, to be enjoyed with jams homemade, honey …
